I really like bees. Well, on paper anyway - not buzzing around me. I think they are so cute. These bee images are in a new set called Happy Pansies - from Mark's Finest Papers . The set also includes images of pansies and some wonderful sentiments.

I wanted to try something different with these stamps. The sentiment is all on one stamp, so I used a marker to ink just the bee and the bee (lol) for one of the squares and the bee and the well for another. I also inked the tiny bee from that stamp and added it to the bigger bee which is a stand alone stamp. They are stamped onto the yellow cardstock with black ink and cut/embossed using Spellbinders Labels Twelve. I then mounted those onto the black squares so they would really pop. The dp looks like cells from a beehive, don't you think? It is from Chatterbox. I added the yellow gingham ribbon and a flower charm (also from MFP). The top of the card is embossed with a Cuttlebug Frills border folder.

33 cents

This image from Mark's Finest Papers was stamped onto white cs with black memento ink and colored with Copic markers. that was mounted onto the always artichoke and a perfect plum layer. The card is rose red and I used the negative from a scalloped oval. I added the dessert with the hardware frame around the sentiment, which I'm sorry you can't read in the photo. It says hello there. I added some artichoke organdy ribbon and heated with my heat gun. I also added some purple rhinestones.

Now this may not look like a child's birthday card to you, but it really is. My dgd is turning 9 and she loves loves loves flowers and she loves loves loves blue right now, so I made this with her in mind. I've seen blue daisies before, I'm sure.

The daisy image is stamped with blac ink and colored with Copic markers and adhered to the front of the card three times. For the lower right hand corner, I cut through all layers of the card front and the card, stamped and colored the image again. I stamped Happy Birthday on the inside of the card. The organdy bow (from MFP) was heated and the center is a rhinestone brad. I also hung a charm (airbrushed with Copic markers and a flower soft center and available from MFP) from the bow. Look closely, you will see it.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Friday!

I stamped the image onto white cs and with black ink and clear embossed before cutting/embossing and then airbrushing with Copic Markers. That is matted with navy cs and mounted onto the card front which is also dp. The sentiment is stamped onto dp and clear embossed, cut/embossed, rhinestones and an organdy bow added. I colored the embossed edge of the sentiment panel with a Copic marker to appear layered. The rhinestone brad on the bow is actually blue, though it doesn't appear that way in the photo.

I saw a great paper at the flower bee store the other day. That is what my grandson used to call Michaels or JoAnns or any other craft store. He would cry and say, "No! I don't want to go to the flower bee store!" lol lol lol

I liked the monochromatic look of the paper with flowers on it so used that as my inspiration. I stamped the images onto Sahara Sand card stock with Pumice Stone distress ink. I used two different backgrounds and the flower image - all from Rubbernecker. The card front is embossed with a Siizzix folder. Each panel is matted with Basic Gray cardstock.

Stamps: Rubbernecker Wildflower BKG 447, French Script BKG 448, Floral 496-11

I wanted to share my pansy card with you. Interesting colors, aren't they? I tried something a little different by inking the image stamp with versamark and then Pacific Blue ink, stamping and embossing with clear ep. I then colored the image with Copic markers and cut/embossed with Spellbinders Labels Three die. I added the Fancy Tags cut from the Pacific Blue cardstock. I cut it in half so it would accent the top and the bottom of the image panel. The card front is Wild Wasabi which is embossed with the Sizzix bricked folder and then accented with white craft ink and the edges distressed. I added the silk ribbon bow with the brad in the center.

The stamp is from Rubbernecker Pansies 506-04

Thanks for stopping by! See you again soon.

FRIDAY, February 11, 2011-He is the Lamb

For this card, I stamped the lily image onto the white cardstock and embossed with white embossing powder. It is subtle, but oh so elegant. You can click on the picture to make it larger and see the embossing. Oh so pretty. Next I stamped the sentiment onto the blue card stock and cut/embossed using Spellbinders Fancy Tags. That just wasn't enough, so I added the bow using a beautiful ribbon from MFP as well as the gorgeous hatpin in the center of the bow. Hop on over to Mark's Finest Papers and get this lovely stamp set, some of this elegant ribbon and these gorgeous hatpins!!!!

Thursday, February 10, 2011-Spring Has Sprung

Now how cute is this little duck? Love it! He has cute little duck feet too, but I wanted to make it look like he is swimming. I used the blue scalloped trim to look like water. It is cut/embossed with Spellbinders Classic Scalloped Border Petites. I colored the image with Copic markers and stamped the sentiment with a blue ink to match the water border. I also added some blue and white baker's twine (available at MFP) and buttons above the image panel with a little striped dp added to the top of the card.

TUESDAY February 8, 2011- Greet the Day with Gerber
Here is one of my creations using this fun new set. I love these daisies and the sentiments are awesome too! And what is better with yellow daisies than a blue gingham check? Doesn't this just scream spring?

I stamped the image using Rich Cocoa Memento ink and colored with Copic markers. I then cut/embossed it using Spellbinders Labels Four. The card is this great heavy cardstock from Mark's Finest Papers, then I added the panel of the blue and white gingham check and the blue borders made with a Martha Stewart Swirling Lace punch. The sentiment was backed with the blue and added to the bottom. I ten added the polka dot organdy ribbon, button and the fabulous blue and white baker's twine. You can get all that at Mark's Finest Papers. Too cute!

Now go and check out these other great creations!
